Pool gas leak injures three at West Side pool scene
Police report three men including a City of Anderson parks worker and two firefighters were injured Monday while attempting to repair a chlorine gas leak at the Center Community Center pool. Condon and Seal remained hospitalized in satisfactory condition with suspected lung exposure.

Tourists slain as ax attack rocks central Moscow
In a midday assault outside the Intourist Hotel on Gorky Street, a 24 year old Soviet watchman axed two Swedish tourists to death and seriously injured a third. Police and cab drivers overpowered the attacker who was taken into custody. The dead are identified as Anderson Annar, 63, and Eve Helen Johanneson, 67. Henry, 71, the husband of one victim, was seriously wounded. The incident follows a recent hostage event at a downtown airline office.
