Two named to school board by Ropensen Herald staff writer
Anderson City Council approved unscheduled legislation for annexing about 150 acres to Chesterfield near Mounds Road northeast of the airport extension. Kenneth H. McClure was reappointed to the school board and James R. Clark will serve four years, replacing Josephine Hill Ragland. The annexation requires unanimous consent and includes a 2 acre land dedication in the Mounds Road right of way. The five year runway extension condition sparked questions about urgency and airport oversight.
