Mysterious Minister Buried After Controversy in Alabama
In Cottage Grove Alabama Wey. oM Maxwell, a controversial self ordained minister, was buried after a funeral service marked by tension. Two sheriff deputies watched as about 40 mourners viewed the flag draped coffin at Peace and Caml Wil Baptist church five days after he was shot at his stepdaughter Shirley Ann Ellington’s funeral. Maxwell, 52, had faced multiple family deaths and long rumored voodoo accusations. Robert Lewis Burns, 36, is charged with first degree murder in Maxwell's death and remains free on bond.
