A proposed high school course by Rex P. and Dr. Crane outlines practical demonstrations in medicine. Lessons include matches safety, dieting, protein digestion, artificial respiration, oxygen use in heart attack recovery, cataract basics, blood tests, blood pressure checks, dental drift and straightening, and obstetric mechanics with clinician guest speakers.
Elwood City Court disposed of numerous traffic and road related cases on Tuesday. Defendants including Richard Relig Robert Foor Jimmy J Abbott Scatterfield Lemeron Cox Seeler Smith Slonka Haynes and others faced fines for offenses such as speeding unsafe vehicle failure to inspect registration and driving under the influence. Some cases involved costs and log book violations. A program linking Elwood and Muncie courts offers driver improvement training with possible dismissal of charges upon completion.
Summer swim program facilities at the Park Department offer Athletic Pool and Aqua Gardens Beach with now remodeled areas and new circulation system. Athletic Pool hours include daily noon to 5 pm and Sundays 1 to 6 pm, plus Tuesday mornings 10 am to 12 noon and weekday evenings 6 to 8 pm. Aqua Gardens Beach operates noon to 6 pm daily and Friday and Saturday nights 7 to 10 pm with private parties possible Monday or Wednesday evenings. Contact Merrill Pyle at 646-5065 for details.

He previously graduated from Lincoln Tech Indianapolis and will teach at Durham School of Technology Junior College in Durham North Carolina.
