Shelbyville Man Charged After Scuffle With Deputy
Shelbyville man Thomas Higdon, 34, was jailed on assault and battery with intent to commit a felony after a scuffle with Deputy Richard Allender on May 22 when Higdon allegedly grabbed a .12 gauge shotgun and the weapon misfired. Higdon had been released on bond after two days in jail before a grand jury indicted him.
