Talent Rich 76ers Crumble In Final To Blazers
In Portland, the Trail Blazers won the NBA title topping the 76ers 4 games to 0 in a best-of-seven series. Coach Jack Ramsay credited team play and patient offense as central to the victory, with Maurice Lucas and Bill Walton starring alongside a balanced cast. Julius Erving carried Philadelphia with two 40 point games but received little support as the Blazers seized the championship.
