Two Brothers Admit Robbery Slaying For Wedding Money

EAST LANSING Mich Two brothers aged 23 and 18 confessed to robbing and killing a Brighton gas station attendant to finance the elder brother William Jols wedding. The Livingston County prosecutor withheld a murder warrant while police continued the investigation. The suspects described the killing after abducting Lawrence Jackson Jr, 19, and forcing him into their car. Jackson’s body was found in a ditch. William, a former Army marksman, planned to marry Saturday and needed money. Daniel admired his brother and drove the getaway car. Police recorded a four hour drive and later a fatal shot to the head as Jackson walked away. The pair were jailed, with state officials reshaping a governor’s traffic study commission in Indianapolis.
