Hartke Protests Bridge Plan in Wabash River Corridor
Sen Vance Hartke of Indiana petitions the Army Corps of Engineers for a hearing on a railroad bridge project over the Wabash River near Iverton Indiana. He argues the fixed span could obstruct river traffic and seeks long range planning to avoid economic damage. The Corps notes the existing draw span has not opened.
