Masseys escape lightning strike at Hinton home

The Massey residence three miles north of Hinton on the old Boards wine place was struck by lightning Tuesday night. The bolt hit the root down the window and struck the bed post, setting the post on fire and tearing plaster but left Mr and Mrs Massey unharmed as they slept on a feather bed. The incident followed the recent barn fire that claimed several valuable horses in the same area.
