In Indianapolis on September 23 the Borden Land Coal corporation of Virginia filed in the U S district court of Indiana to enjoin the United Mine Workers of America and its officers and members from interfering with its Thacker and Williamson coal fields in Mingo County West Virginia and Pike County Kentucky The plaintiff says the union is an unlawful conspiracy violating the Sherman and Clayton acts and public policy It asks the court to void contracts alleged to provide a closed shop and check off and to stop the union from its activities against the plaintiff and 62 coal operators and mining companies

Garden Exhibit Prizes Awarded At Butte Show

Winners in the garden exhibit at the chamber of commerce rooms were announced last evening in adult and children's sections. Mrs. Weast and Miss Frink led the adult prizes with 96 and 23 awards respectively, while Mrs. Gramling won 20 awards. The Emerson School banner led the children's section but no final school tally was posted. Canning demonstrations by Miss Graber of Montana State College are scheduled for today at 11 and 2:30.

Passengers to Erin Searched by Police in Dublin
