New York November 2 Rockefeller under cross examination admits not as inventor of the Standard Oil trust credit goes to Henry M Flagler and Wes C Todd. He maintains memory gaps over the trust liquidation period and says refining was hazardous despite huge profits. Kellogg presses for stock transfer records and Rockefeller hints future disclosures on page two.
Special dispatch reports another grim find near Dead Man's Gulch, 19 miles southwest of the city. Washington November 22 President Roosevelt welcomed Leech the runner from Garden Leech to the White House in the executive office He carried a message from Richard Morse of the International Y M C A The distance from New York to Baltimore was 40 miles covered in 3 hours 10 minutes The president praised the Washington boys and gave the athlete a photographed autograph The contents of the message will be released tomorrow and the president's reply is expected then The run started Friday afternoon in New York and ended in Baltimore before resuming later today

Admiral Dewey’s letter declared that battleships built in the last decade are praised for their design and fighting strength, noting ships abroad and recent preserves as equals or superiors to foreign vessels of their date.
