Investigations into Attorney General Palmer’s ties to the conspiracy case involving 125 coal operators and miners will be conducted by Judge A B Anderson in Indianapolis federal district court, starting next Monday, following a notice from court officials.
New York dispatch reports an enormous GOP victory in Tuesday's elections with Harding on the 400 vote threshold, 58 senate seats to Democrats 37, and a sweeping house gain that pushed Republican strength in Ohio Missouri and beyond. Cork on November 4 reports Deputy Lord Mayor O Callahan elected as lord mayor succeeding the late Terence MacSwiney. His appointment follows the death of MacSwiney during the hunger strike crisis and marks a new leadership in the city government.
Chicago dispatch reports William Jennings Bryan declaring that President Wilson should resign immediately. He proposes transferring office to Charles Marshall, with Harding becoming secretary of state when Congress convenes, to push the United States into a peace alliance.
