Firebugs Try to Burn Hopkins Barbershop in Miles City
Special Dispatch reports in Miles City on May 23 an arson attempt targeted Hopkins barber shop with kerosene soaked excelsior inside a screen door and kerosene on the floor. Officer Jackson stopped the blaze before it burned through. Smoldering sacks under the opera house stage were found about the same time. The fires’ origin remains a mystery.
