The prosecution builds circumstantial evidence linking Mrs. Minnie Grady to the April 6 Burlington incident in which Mrs. Emma Proulx was robbed of diamonds valued at $500 and allegedly poisoned. Key testimony from Chief Reynolds and witnesses trace Grady’s movements, discuss a confession and potential immunity, and place recovered jewels and powders in county custody.

Mother asks for reform school because Mose and Fred Willard aged 16 and 11 have caused county officials and justices much trouble. After Burns and Nugent faced charges, Maurice Mahoney caused trouble in a saloon and was arrested by Policemen Old and Lydon for disturbing the peace by fighting. He allegedly aimed to clean out the place.
