Despondent bookkeeper dies of morphine overdose in New York hotel
Herbert Leon Kepler a Deland Florida bookkeeper well known to his wife and children died in a Sassen’s hotel room on Forty sixth street and Sixth avenue from morphine. A woman identified as Mrs Dana Miller claimed to have fled from Deland with him but later contradicted parts of her tale. Police found two small bottles with morphine and a note asking his parents to forgive him for his act.
