Butte Pays Tribute to Miss Josephine Smith
The memory of Miss Josephine Smith, a union worker linked with Butte and Anaconda, is honored as the laboring classes pay tribute. She died after an operation, funeral held at St Marys church, burial in Buttes Catholic cemetery. Smith was 25 years old and active in the Womens Protective union and Anaconda chapter. She left parents and a brother in St Paul Minnesota.
