Anaconda Red Cross Drives Early War Aid Appeal
John B. Miller, chairman of the Western committee, urges early Red Cross fundraising to meet a $16,000,000 quota toward the $100,000,000 national Civil and Military relief effort. He frames the Red Cross as part of the fighting force and warns that late support risks insufficient hospital care and battlefield effectiveness. The Anaconda branch plans a campaign for Deer Lodge County’s $15,000 quota and continues hospital supplies for France, listing many new and renewing members across levels.
