Ould Ritson Personal Injury Suit Goes To Verdict
In Judge McClernan's court Mrs. Mary E. Ould sought 1500 dollars from John B. Ritson for alleged injuries across three May 1903 incidents. After half an hour of jury deliberation, Ritson was found to be the winner. The defense challenged testimony on threats and described encounters over a fence dispute near Butte. The trial followed earlier testimony from Ella Knowles Haskell and others. The docket also includes N King versus Oregon Short Line Fire Co for 1800 dollars over a scalper ticket dispute, with King traveling from Denver when a conductor refused to honor the ticket.
