An anxious crowd at St Pauls School gathered for graduation ceremonies at 10 30 am. 27 graduates led by Rev Father Coopman received diplomas and prizes as musical selections filled the room. Mary Gagnier won the top Christian doctrine prize. Marcella Dinndorf and Walter Sullivan claimed history and Irish history honors respectively.
The funeral of Mrs Mary Turtl was held yesterday morning at the residence, with a solemn requiem high mass at St Peter’s church. A very large turnout spoke to her esteem among friends. Interment followed at Mount Carmel cemetery. Pallbearers included Joseph Hannon, Andrew Bickerstaff, James Gallagher, James McLaughlin, William Callahan, and Thomas Frazer.
Ana conda fans will witness a ball game Sunday at Washoe park at 3 30 in the afternoon. The proceeds will be donated toward the 15000 fund to be raised next week for war relief work. Kelly will pitch for the Anodes and Keltus for the Knights, promising a good crowd for a good cause.

Goodfriends defeated the Brickyards 12 to 4 in a erratic game marked by seven Clothiers errors in the fifth inning and strong pitching that limited the Brickyards to two hits through seven innings. Oldhaber and Smallock were hit by the winners, Stevens held the Brickyards to two hits, and Bell yielded one in the last two. The plot follows a millionaire tiring of society life and craving solitude on a desert island with pirates sprites and wildlife as Jolson plays the chauffeur and star performer. Also promoted are men’s summer underwear values at Copper City with shop windows highlighting B V D Manhattan union suits silk lisle and other styles.
A Ford runabout piled high with camping gear crossed Anaconda yesterday carrying Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Diamond of New York City. They tour the west by moving picture shows in small towns with Los Angeles as their final destination. Mouser the tabby cat travels with them, enjoying the ride and refusing to leave the car during a street stop.
