Rotary Club Backs New Highway Through Cardwell Canyon

Rotary Club advocates a new sixteen mile highway to shorten travel from Butte to Yellowstone Park and boost tourism to Lewis and Clark cavern near Cardwell. The plan uses current roads for military purposes next Sunday with county funds and pledges from Jefferson and Gallatin counties supporting construction.

Jury Drawn For Judge Lamb's Court Yet to Pick Panel

Judge Lamb will select a jury panel on June 26 from 99 names drawn from the jury box. One man on the list had died and the slip was destroyed. Judge Lynch was drawn but disqualified due to his position. The drawing was overseen by J A Poore A J Melane and Harry Meyer. The aim is to clear matters from Judge McClernan's illness period.
