Seattle baseball saw a wild eleven inning affair as Butte edged Seattle 6 to 3 in the nest half of the eleventh. A combination of base running bunting and a muff at first produced three decisive runs after many tense moments. Interference and a protest over a Canill call sparked controversy as Seattle faded late.
Philadelphia June 13 The calling off of the game set for Oct 13 between the University of Pennsylvania football team and Army has caused much perturbation. Manager Scully of the red and blue eleven says it will hurt the Quaker team to have a break in schedule at the end of October when it is rounding into form. It will be hard to secure a good opponent for the open date as major teams have fall schedules filled. Scully is shifting harder games to earlier in the season so small colleges may be taken on sooner.
Butte over Seattle in a tense ten inning game as Hurley is ruled safe on a close call, Irby Swain and Lussi spark a comeback with hits and fielding miscues. Beale, Cartwright, and Kreita contribute offensively while Harkness holds the visitors in extra frames. Rebound moments and errors set the stage for a dramatic finish and a late Seattle rally is thwarted by solid defense.
Spokane report notes Tacoma infielder errors and misthrows lead to poor pitching and scoring spikes. Franklin ties, then Indians boost batting averages. Jensen struggles but Tacoma errs on base running, with a runner caught between bases as Chandler maintains control.

Members of the Bulte Gun club held a practice shoot on their grounds today in celebration of Mindts Day. Veteran secretary C. H. Smith acted as spectator due to a shoulder injury. Scores across four events at the targets were recorded.
