Four masked men with revolvers robbed Andrew Mandell’s saloon at 1002 East Sixth Street taking about $900 in cash and valuables. They locked Mandell and workers in the cellar for over an hour before fleeing. Sheriff Hartsell led a search with no results. Two games between Anodes and Black Rock were scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at common and Washoe Park venues depending on weather.
Fred Pilling deputy game warden of Butte was found guilty in justice court on May 31 and sentenced by Judge Pringle. He was fined 200 dollars and reportedly plans to appeal to district court. The note mentions a Croatian society funeral for Kuzina Padovich at 8:30 Friday.

The second annual spelling contest at Anaconda High School will be held tonight in the assembly. Indies chapter of the Red Cross donated two boxes of surgical dressings to New York for shipment to France during registration day. Items include gauze compresses and drains, laparotomy pads, gauze wipes, bandages and cot ton. Also notes new members and a wedding at St Paul church Irene Smith and Patrick O'Brien.
