Death notice for Pavan J. Evans aged 82 years 11 months and 7 days died at the family home in Hole basin on Monday. Funeral arrangements are to be announced later at the homestead east of Ani fonda with A Tuttle Co Funeral Directors of B19 East Park Avenue handling services.
Yesterday filled the police court docket with numerous cases. Victor Anderson faced a $5 fine for carrying an I W W card and attempting to justify it as employment aid. G C Vogt paid $9 for traffic ordinance violations at Park and Main. James Burns received a floater for panhandling. Henry Shannon fined $20 for drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Barney McGrath paid $10 bond for traffic violations and awaits June 6. Dan Geary charged for dining and refusing to pay at a North Main Street restaurant.
Marie Dressler stars in Tillie Punctured Romance at the Margaret Theater last evening. The comedy drew large crowds despite a thin plot, delivering lively action and laughs. The film returns this afternoon and evening. A farewell social honored RB Osborne of the First Presbyterian Christian Endeavor. Osborne departs Wednesday to join the Second Montana regiment. two members offered service, one was rejected. The pastor presented a signet ring from the society, and members planned to accompany him to the train tomorrow.
Mr and Mrs Tom Sontag were married Friday at Missoula by Rev C D Crouch of the Methodist church. They have arrived in Anaconda and are at home at 620 Chestnut Street. Mrs Sontag was Miss Irene Cousens of this city. Mr Sontag is described as a well known clean cut gentlemanly athlete.
In Gregson Springs today conscription registration will be accompanied by patriotic music to thrill the boys and their friends. An evening of dancing follows the events.
