U Boats Fire Torpedoes At The Kroonland Liner

Mother of Kidnaped Baby Bears Strain in Springfield

Springfield Missouri June 3. The month old Lloyd Keet, son of J H Keet, remains missing since last Wednesday night. Mrs Keet says she cannot bear the strain much longer as searches span the Ozark hills with no clue found. Dozens of searchers combed the area but uncovered nothing aiding the mystery.

Anti draft pamphlets spread in Butte causing arrests

A coordinated anti draft drive was launched in Butte at 9 pm with many men distributing pamphlets in Meaderville Centerville Walkerville and the main city. Police arrested four men including Ed Keenan John McDonnell and John A. Sjovim on street and in a saloon as pamphlets were tossed into yards. A motorcar incident caused damage as operators fled. The pamphlets urged opposition to U S involvement in a potential war with Germany and were printed on mimeograph and restatation paper. The source notes LW W suspicions but offers no conclusive proof on organizers.
