Petition for Montana county game and fish warden urged
Deer Lodge County residents press for appointing a county game and fish warden. Law requires such an officer if 10 resident taxpayers petition the board of county commissioners. A warden would enforce game and fish laws, deter dynamiting and poaching, and help fund the office via fines. Local sportsmen forecast savings from protected wildlife.
