Mayor Opposes Reopening of Butte Natatorium
In an interview Mayor Yoseph Corby attacked the proposed bathhouse reopening as unsanitary and unsafe for children. He urged sanitary controls, running water, and regular cleaning, contrasting the pond bath with a regulated natatorium. The piece notes past drownings and references public debate over youth swimming access and city water costs.
