John W. Gray of Butte ropeman killed by two knife wounds in a Mexican passenger train lavatory while en route to join family in this city. Burial occurred days ago in Jiminez Mexico in an unmarked grave. Reports say he was attacked aboard the train, though details remain unclear. Gray left Tezultlan with companions to work on a smelter project and sent a draft home before departure. his wife and five children survive him.
