Tewe y Arrested on Liquor Charge In Butte Test Case
Patrick Tewey of 815 High Ore Terrace was arrested on a federal prohibition charge amid a first enforcement action under new guidelines to seize owners’ property. A $500 bond was posted after arraignment before Commissioner Van Etten. Authorities raided Tewey’s mill and found a still, 15 barrels of mash, and noonshine, with a lien up to $2,000 placed on the property as the case proceeds.
