Kansas City, July 8. John Crane shot his wife Henrietta Crane four times in the back as she fled from their home in view of neighbors. Police prevented lynching. Henrietta, 38, had filed for divorce in April, alleging Crane fraudulently secured $225,000 of her property and had restraining orders.
Billings July 8 J H Beeman will arrive tomorrow with the body of his late business partner James Aitchison who died in San Francisco on the 4th Inst The body will lie in Billings until Monday morning and then be shipped to St Joseph Missouri for burial.
Marshal Lyons of Toledo with three assistants captured Hezekiah Hall known as Hyke Hall. Hall admits killing John Grubb in self defense and claims eight men must be killed to make them good. He is 56 and had taken refuge in the Cowlitz river country above Toledo.
