Mrs Elinira Relf, widow of civil engineer Henry C Heif, sues Northern Pacific for 26060 damages in federal court. Heif, 36, earned 200 monthly and drowned June 9 1899 at Plains Montana while inspecting a road washout for the railway. Plaintiff says death resulted from the companys negligence.
