Governor McMillan informs Knoxville police that Harvey Logan alias Kid Curry will not be handed to Wyoming officers and will remain in Knoxville to face charges there. He says he was unaware of any Wyoming pursuit and notes no officers have appeared.

In Washington on January 15 Henry C. Payne of Wisconsin was sworn in as postmaster general by Chief Justice Fuller. President Roosevelt and Cabinet, plus Mrs. Roosevelt and Mrs. Payne, attended as Payne took charge of the Post Office at noon and received department personnel.
