Series of earthquakes rattles Bakersfield oil fields
A sequence of quakes struck Bakersfield and outlying oil communities on February 28 after 7 pm. Shocks were strongest in Oildale and Oil Center with eight or nine tremors reported, beginning with rattling doors and ending with a roar like a blast.
