Montana Gold Mining stock reshapes Butte dealings
A large lump of gold bearing ore from the Montana Gold Mining company was sent to the Helena assay office after a day’s run. The 1 1/2 ounce retort lump valued around $12 per ounce underscores ongoing ore processing and market interest in the company. Charles F. Chapin sold about 30 million shares to Arthur V. Corry, boosting Corry to a major holder as he steps into a director role vacancy. Corry’s stake, and the stock shift, signal intensified efforts to develop the mine and advance operations.
