Chicano Dec 18 Maurice Rosenfeld testified as director of the Chicago National Bank in John R Walsh's trial for misapplication of funds. He said as a director he knew funds were invested in companies tied to Walsh but these investments were not discussed at meetings and he never voted for them. He claimed no knowledge that Walsh's checks were cashed.
J K Hore was elected president of the Butte Clerks Protective Union beating Brown by three votes with final counts 19 to 2 after ballots were tallied at 1 20 this morning. Other officers elected were RK G Setzer vice president A J Guenther recording secretary no opposition E J Moyle financial secretary treasurer William R Moore guide and EB A Brislds business agent both with no opposition.
An explosion at a glycerin factory near Bowling Green ten miles north of Findlay, Ohio, shattered the town this afternoon. Reports say one person named Hara is dead and many windows were broken, with goods damaged and locals shaken by the blast.
