Anaconda Wagon Theft Case Bound Over for Trial
Thomas O'Brien and Everett Johnson were bound over for trial in district court on grand larceny charges after a lengthy hearing in Anaconda. Walsh testified his new Bain wagon, valued at 110 dollars, was stolen Nov. 24 from near the bank and found later five miles west in Jones gulch. Under Sheriff Morgan described arresting O'Brien and others at O'Brien's house with butter in the wagon and curious remarks overheard during the incident.

Thomas Moran Injured When Wagon Overturns in Saile Gulch
Thomas Moran a city teamster for T J Flemming was fatally hurt when a loaded wagon rolled over him in Saile s gulch while returning from the quarry to the Ursuline academy site. He lay exposed from 10 am until 2 pm before assistance arrived. Moran survived but suffered multiple fractures and internal bruising. He had previously worked in Yellowstone park and on a mail route.
