Anaconda Dentist Arrested in Contempt of Alimony Order
William A. Can, a former Anaconda dentist now practicing in Helena, was arrested last week by order of Judge W. H. Poorman in Department No. 2 of the district court for contempt of court. He failed to pay alimony to his wife in a tangled case arising from marital differences. Attorneys Parke Smeh and Hugh Thomas Carter filed motion for Aug 10 to discuss removing two children from Deaconesa School and returning custody to their father, and to restrain interference with visits. Believing the alimony order may be excused, the petitioner requests Mrs. Casa be brought into court to show cause for removing their daughter from the custody of the court. The proceedings are supported by an affidavit by Dr. Cash Wallace. lawyers Brown and Weir represent Mrs. Gash.
