City Council Adopts Storm Sewer Bids and Sanitary Work

Buffalo Skull Found In Iowa River Sandbed
A buffalo skull, well preserved with horns, was unearthed in a dry sandbed along the Skunk river near the Forks by Hite Raff of Diamond Oklahoma. The find, possibly the last evidence of bison in Central Iowa, was displayed at the Judisch drug store this week.

Death of George Spangler and funeral plans in town
BE Spangler received a telegram Sunday announcing his son George's death in Boulder Colorado Saturday night. He rushed there to arrange the funeral. The remains will be brought back here for a funeral at the Congregational church Saturday at two. Miss Alice Armstrong, a two year student at the college, will not return to IC this year due to ill health.
