The City Council in regular session rejected all sewer bids from the prior week and ordered new bids for sewer extension with Sept 25 opening. Waterworks bids were opened, led by Des Moines Bridge and Iron Works at $32,683.37, followed by W. D. Lovell at $34,015 and Dwyer P. H. Co. at $35,200 with separate tower and tank item at $5,193.
Volney T. Hoggatt files a federal suit in Denver against the News Times Publishing Co seeking 250000 for each of two May 1905 articles. The papers accused him as principal stockholder in Post fake mining outfits and tied him to Bonfils money schemes and lotteries. He is an Nevada attorney born.
