Ruben Conroy of York Nebraska a prize stock handler at the state fair was knocked down by a street car near the Des Moines fair grounds Saturday. He suffered multiple fractures and severe bruises after losing balance while stepping off the car with packages. He was taken to Mercy hospital and is resting easy with hopes for recovery. Little Girl Shot by 4 Year Old Playmate
Ethelyn Stevens of South Omaha returned home from a summer visit to her grandmother Augusta Underwood when a 22 caliber rifle discharged by a four year old playmate struck her leg. The bullet could not be removed immediately and she wore a plaster cast for four weeks. She is reported recovering satisfactorily.

Ditcher Sustains Broken Ribs After Cave In
