In a small community crowd of about forty Scotch residents, John Brown and Jeannie Harper, both of Scotland, were married last evening at eight in the Odd Fellows hall. Rev. William J. Minchin officiated, with Miss Erin Mitchell as bridesmaid and James Watson as best man. The ceremony featured a ring service and a celebratory dinner by Mrs. Paxton. The evening included Scotch songs, reels, recitations, and Ruby Tait performing the sword dance. Brown, a herdman, and Harper, who arrived recently with Alexander Gray, had no relatives in the country and invited friends to celebrate.
