Note Laws and Indebtors Rights Summary
A historical note explains that notes from minors are void, notes bear interest only if stated, and altering a note voids it. Lost notes do not relieve the maker, and absence of a payment time means payable on demand. Sunday or holiday due dates require payment the prior day. Fraudulent notes or those from migrants cannot be collected. Indorsers can sue all prior signers, and an indorser is exempt if not notified of dishonor within 24 hours.
