A new C. and N. W. time card took effect Sunday May 5 affecting several west and east bound trains from this city. No. 29 departs at 10:30 am, No. 7 Los Angeles Limited now 7:15 am, No. 14 local at 8:18, No. 8 Los Angeles Limited east bound at 2:30 am, No. 53 south at 7:20 am, No. 55 and 56 both 9:55 am, No. 15 fast mail at 9:48. Other trains run as before. Also listed are multiple Ames real estate transfers and trusteeships.

Ray Smith known as Jum in Milford township had a runaway with his new single buggy and a colt driven only a few times. The buggy overturned after a short drive, tossing Jum out as it rolled over three times and landed in a ditch, leaving him scraped but the colt returning home unharmed.
