Black Hawks Join National Fraternity Alpha Tau Omega

On March seventh Alpha Tau Omega established its Iowa Gamma Upsilon chapter with the Black Hawks club. Alumni from Nebraska Minnesota Wisconsin Kansas Missouri Wooster and Simpson helped. Installation began at ten with Dr John Van Des Vrees and Carroll Smith overseeing. charter members listed. banquet and dance followed in Adams hall and Smiths hall with chaperons Prof and Mrs C B Stanton.

Bull pup stolen on the rail line returned to owner

A bull pup, an orphan and untagged, was seized in the Ames baggage room after arrival by number six from the west. Dr. Whitehill of Boone identified the pup as his property and the dog was sent back on the next train. The thief likely sought a valuable pup but misread the search.

Dan Hurst, son of Mr and Mrs Amos Hurst, underwent appendectomy last Thursday at the college hospital and is recovering well.

In Justice Thompson's court Isidore Will the tailor sued Wetstein Tailoring Co for back wages. A key letter from Wetstein stating wage range of 15 to 24 dollars per week swayed the verdict.
