Weather Report Shows Below Normal Sunshine and Rainfall
The temperature and sunshine were below normal across the state with cool and cloudy conditions through Saturday and a recent rise to seasonable warmth. Showers were frequent and well distributed but rainfall ran under normal except in the east central west central and central districts. Corn growth is satisfactory though cultivation is hampered by showers. hay harvest is delayed and clover damaged though hay yield may be large if weather improves. Small grain shows good straw growth and needs warm dry weather to mature.
