A large masquerade skating event at Cole's Hall drew about 125 skaters and a cheering crowd. Winners included Max Phillips as best gentleman skater, Ada Griffith best lady, Hart and Kinkade best couple, Fred Walkey best gent costume, and Mary Kintzley best ladies costume. A "Hard Times" skating party with music was announced for January 28.

The Iowa Corn Growers Association elected officers at a Thursday meeting held at Iowa State College. Milk Route Sold in City Transfer to Ed Gunder
Wm. McCoy sold his city milk route to Ed. Gunder who lives north of the city last week and will operate the route with his cattle herd. McCoy plans retirement and a possible spring addition of another wagon. Newly elected Church of Christ officers met and organized with J. J. Grove as Chairman, C. A. Duntz as Vice Chairman, N. J. Scott as Secretary, Jesse Bennett as Treasurer, and J. C. Hearn as Financial Clerk.
