Evening mail collection expanded at depot and boxes

The Post Office Department authorizes an evening collection from street boxes in the business district and at the C N W passenger station. Service starts Monday February 26 between 7 30 and 7 50 p m at the passenger station. A street letter box will also be placed on the platform between tracks for traveling passengers and those transferring trains.

Mrs Agnes Albrook Keagy died after midnight on February 29 at the home of her daughter Mrs Fred Tilden on Clark Avenue Ames. She came from Mount Vernon two weeks ago and had suffered since Friday night. Surviving are daughters Mrs Tilden and Mrs Robinson of Fort Dodge and son Judge Allbrook of Eldora. Funeral arrangements postponed. interviews to be held at the old home in Manchester Iowa.

Man Named Christian Detained After Attempted Slaughter House Incident

A man named Christian attempted to trapstorm the third ward into a slaughter house and was arrested at Mrs Lena Dyatts home where he boarded. He spent the night in the tax house to cool off and was fined $15 on Monday afternoon. He now says he intends to reform and become good.

Napoleon Alexander Rainbolt known as Polea Rainbolt died suddenly at his Norfolk Nebraska home on February 21 after a fall on ice caused injuries. He was sixty nine in December and had lived in Norfolk 25 years, once a prominent lawyer banker and capitalist in northern Nebraska.
