The annual merrymaking of the former Iowans now in California was held yesterday at Eastland Park Los Angeles. Estimated attendance reached thirty five thousand as a fine program was announced in the Times.
The body of Mr. Ladd, longtime Ames resident and former soldier, was brought to Ames for burial Saturday night after dying at the Nebraska Soldiers Home in Lincoln. A son accompanied the casket to Ames.
