Dr. and Mrs. P. J. Kaynor mark sixty three years of marriage while residing in Ames for thirty years. A surprise party hosted by Episcopal Guild members included a sixty three ice cream motif and a bouquet of sixty three carnations. The couple has fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren with deep Republican and Masonry ties for Dr. Kaynor and a devoted, cosmopolitan spirit in Mrs. Kaynor.

S A E House Burglarized by Local Thieves
Last Friday night or early Saturday morning thieves raided the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house in the fourth ward. Four valuable watches and about $45 in cash were taken from rooms of prominent members. Police suspect local culprits who knew the layout and targeted rooms with valuables. The timepieces, passed down as heirlooms, were especially distressing to the fraternity. A vigilant watch on pawnshops and jewelers continues as investigators seek the missing items.

J Frank Loucks Dies in Dakota
J Frank Loucks longtime Nevada resident died in Hot Springs South Dakota after a cancer illness. Relatives received word Tuesday night and funeral plans will follow with remains to be sent to Nevada. He was known in Story county and was related to the Childs families in the city.

An examination will be held on March 3 in Dubuque Fort Dodge Soo City and Waterloo for deputy collector and clerk in the 8th internal revenue district of Iowa with headquarters at Dubuque.
