Christmas celebrations in Ames churches and gifts to Japanese home
Ames residents enjoyed a festive Christmas with church programs across Congregational, Christian, Baptist, United Brethren, M E, and St. Cecilia’s. The Baptist drive raised 42 dollars to purchase 14 square yards of land for a Japanese Women’s Home in Seattle. A cantata at Christian church featured The King of Israel. The Methodist program mixed Brownies and fairies in Old Kris Kringle. Midnight mass marked St. Cecilia’s service.
