Old City Council Departed New Board Seated in Ames
The Ames city council met in regular session on Monday April 6 1908. After auditing old bills and approving salaries the council adopted a resolution to submit a water bond proposition of 15000 dollars for a special election on May 7 1908. They appointed judges and clerks for each ward and approved water and sewer agreements with Iowa State College authorizing mains and sewers on college grounds at ten cents per thousand gallons for water. The mayor and clerk were authorized to sign. Parley Sheldon appears at this point.

White bulldog saves bystanders in hotel district dog scuffle

Union Depot Burned by Iowa State College Students
